ABOUT SIMMETRY

Small by design.

We believe in building useful things, keeping business simple, and taking care of the people who make it all happen. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, we're building for the long term.

We're not interested in creating a complicated portfolio simply for the sake of having one. We'd rather focus our time and energy on a few meaningful ideas and do them really well. At the heart of everything we build is a simple goal: create something useful, do it thoughtfully, and make it better along the way.

Useful first

Products should earn their place in someone's day.

Clear thinking

Simple decisions are often the most durable ones.

Long view

We build deliberately and keep improving what we own.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND SIMMETRY

Built together.

JONATHAN SIMMONS

Technology with a human purpose.

Throughout his career, Jonathan has worked at the intersection of technology, leadership, and problem-solving. He has spent more than a decade leading technical teams, navigating complex challenges, and helping turn complicated systems into solutions that work better for the people who depend on them. That experience shaped his perspective: technology is most valuable when it removes friction, creates clarity, and solves a real human problem.

Florida Fast Test Prep began with exactly that kind of problem. Jonathan saw more than a frustrating search; he saw a gap between what families needed and what was available. His instinct was the same one that has guided much of his professional life: understand the problem, question the assumptions surrounding it, and build something better. Working together as a family, Jonathan and Lauren transformed that frustration into Florida Fast Test Prep, a practical resource created from the perspective of parents who had faced the same challenge themselves.

For Jonathan, the goal was never to add more complexity or simply put another product into the world. It was to create something genuinely useful and make a difficult process feel more manageable for the next family. That experience helped shape the larger vision for Simmetry Holdings.

Jonathan believes meaningful businesses often begin by paying attention to the frustrations people have learned to tolerate. Sometimes the opportunity is not a completely new idea, but a better approach to an existing problem—one that is simpler, more thoughtful, and designed around the people who will actually use it. Through Simmetry Holdings, Jonathan and his family are building from that perspective: identify real problems, challenge unnecessary complexity, and use technology and practical thinking to create solutions that improve everyday life.

For Jonathan, entrepreneurship is also deeply personal. It is an opportunity to build alongside his wife and show their three daughters that they do not have to accept every obstacle exactly as they find it. They can ask questions, think differently, and create something better. Outside of work, Jonathan is a husband, father, church leader, guitarist, and loyal FSU football fan. Go 'Noles!

LAUREN SIMMONS

Where better ideas begin.

Lauren Simmons is a business leader, entrepreneur, and mother who believes some of the best ideas begin with simply trying to solve a problem for someone you love. The idea for Florida Fast Test Prep started with a challenge in her own family. When one of her daughters needed to prepare for a required Florida exam, Lauren saw firsthand how difficult it could be to find a resource that was straightforward, accessible, and actually made the process feel manageable.

What started as a problem to solve for her daughter became a question: what if we built the resource we wished we had? That question became Florida Fast Test Prep. Rather than accepting the frustration as something they simply had to work through, Lauren and her husband saw an opportunity to create something better. Together, they built a simple, convenient resource designed to help Florida learners feel more prepared and confident when facing their own required exams.

For Lauren, that experience became about more than building a business. It reinforced something she hopes to teach her children: life will inevitably present challenges, but challenges do not always have to be the end of the story. Sometimes, they are where the best ideas begin. A difficult moment can spark creativity, a new perspective can lead to a solution, and a problem that once felt frustrating can ultimately become something that helps other people, too.

Through Simmetry Holdings, Lauren and her family are building with that same mindset: looking for real problems, creating thoughtful solutions, and finding the opportunity on the other side of the challenge. With a professional background spanning healthcare, technology, customer experience, and business operations, Lauren brings a practical, people-centered approach to everything she builds.

She believes the best businesses do not need to be complicated. They need to be useful, thoughtfully created, and built with the people they serve in mind. At the end of the day, Lauren's favorite part of entrepreneurship is not simply building a company. It is showing her daughters that when life gives you a challenge, you can ask a different question: what can we create from this?
